Dedication Service - September 18, 2005
"It was awesome!" That was one of the comments made about our Dedication Service this day. Another visitor said that the service was the most inspirational that he had ever attended in all his life. The voices of eleven choirs helped to fill the sanctuary with praise. Classical, traditional, and contemporary music brought us into God's Presence. We heard the architect's dream and greetings from Rev. Klaus Seidenstuecker of Germany who gave our congregation a huge Moravian Star. We were blessed by the Association Minister and the presence of two national U.C.C. staff members and heard a multitude of expressions of gratitude for those who had worked so hard and given so faithfully. There were 138 mums around the church to beautify the occasion, carefully placed by Heather Metzger and Phyllis Yenny. Harriet Kuhn baked 14 cakes, Kevin Troyer donated Trail Bologna, and Nancy Schindler provided cheese for the reception organized by Robin Werker and Mary Davies. Bob Smith underwrote the cost of the music for the mass choir. We dedicated the altar and pulpit, the piano and organ, and the whole sanctuary to the glory of God. It was an amazing experience, and we are grateful to all, too numerous to count, who had a part in decorating, donating, sharing music and words. It was a day to remember for the rest of our lives! Let's take a look at what happened:
